I stayed a Birgit's relaxing and beautiful place before and rebooked because we didn't feel to go home . Can't find enough words how much we enjoyed our stay in such hidden jewel of Authentic Bali ! We will be back many more Times

A beautiful and original place, I love everything about this place, the history, the view, the restaurant, perfect !

Made (Birgit's husband) along with their support staff made it more comfortable for us. Excellent hospitality, serene surroundings, nice room with some interesting interiors. A must visit if you want to take time Off from daily hustle bustle.

I'm already dreaming of the day I can come back to Amed and stay at Balila! The Sunrise bungalow is absolutely stunning (as is the whole resort complex). The craftsmenship is outstanding and it is more than evident that hosts Birgit and Made take great pride in the resort they have built. All of the staff that I met at the resort were extremely friendly and accommodating - the two women that work in the kitchen area are perhaps two of the kindest, happiest people I have ever met. I can't say enough wonderful things about Balila - the view and surrounding area is breathtaking, the remoteness is refreshing, and the people are a true representation of Bali.

We loved staying at Birgit and Made's place. The view and the beach were lovely and very private. Especially at sunset and sunrise, watching the boats. The pool was amazing and the onsite cafe was really nice. It is a bit of a trip to get into Amed (20 min walk and longer to snorkelling sites). But on the scooter it was really enjoyable and beautiful. The staff were really lovely and helpful and could organise a lot of activities. Maybe a little more expensive than in town but not significantly. And this is understandable due to the distance from Amed. We stayed four nights but could've easily stayed longer! The only difficult thing for us was the solar heated shower did not give warm water or much water pressure during our stay (in the rainy season). So no warm showers. Not a huge deal but we were a bit surprised. Apart from that, absolutely amazing and we'd definitely recommend to others!

We stayed two nights at Birgits place. Unfortunately we were both a bit sick so that we were not able to explore much things. Anyway the place is beautiful, we had a room with a lovely view on the beach and ocean. The staff was lovely too and made very good and affordable local food (-the homemade chocolate was delicious!) We would recommend staying at Birgits place if you like to be in a tranquil and peaceful atmospher.

We were devastated to leave this place - such an paradise of tranquility and delicious food. Originally our plan was to stay for 2 nights, but we ended staying close to a week. It is a perfect retreat for doing some yoga, being far away from any tourist infrastructure, and simply enjoy good healthy food. We would love to come back :)

Staying at Birgit's place has been a really appreciated and peaceful experience. We had the opportunity to relax in this charming remote place... enjoying good sleep, terrific local food, fresh fruits, massages, etc. From there, you can explore activities like diving, trekking, yoga... or just relax far from the concrete jungle. Home decor is designed with great taste and everything is eco-friendly from home-grown organic food to organic cosmetics provided in the rooms...

Birgits place was great, exactly as described. If your looking for a chill stay close to the nature with sea view this is the place, definitely recommend!

This place is really beautiful! We enjoyed our time in Birgits air bnb. It's the perfect place to relax and to come down. It's near Amed but you have to rent a scooter. We've done this here without any problems. Also we liked the restaurant, the food is fresh and tasty. And the room is the best! Incredible with the sound of the sea. We definitely can recommend this beautiful place!

Beautiful, calm, tasty food, hospitable, very interesting talks with hosts
